This is a rare opportunity for the collector of Japanese acoustics. This guitar is as close to NOS as may exist in the world. The guitar only has very minor play wear with very fine minor scratches. There are no repairs or modifications, the guitar is bone stock. The original Gotoh tuning machines work perfectly. The top is bound with 5 layers of binding. It has an elaborate vine inlay on the neck and is single bound at the neck, headstock and back of the body. There is not a lot of information available about Cortez guitars so I cannot provide a precise year of manufacture. This is one of the fanciest Cortez models to come out of Japan in the 1970's. It has been freshly set up with Martin 12's and the action is comfortable and buzz free.
